It’s been said that people who work in youth ministry should “take Jesus seriously, but not take themselves too seriously.” And, while that can be refreshing for students who live in a world that otherwise tells them their value comes from their performance and production, we must be sure we are also modeling how to take “the right things” seriously.  Crystal Kirgiss, a professor at Purdue University and author of over 10 books, shares four groups of people we ought to take seriously and invites us to consider ways we might do so.
